Luis Suarez Presentation

Luis suarez biting Ivanovich in 2013
Uruguay - Italia, VM 2014 in a group stage match, Luis Suarez was taken for biting Giorgio Chiellini. It was in the 80 minute of the match Luis Suarez decided to take a bite of Chiellini's shoulder. This is not the first time Suarez bites another player.
2010 for Ajax and 2013 for Liverpool Suarez lost his mind and bitt another player.

Newspapers and social media off course wrote about it fast after it had happened, but what did the different papers and media write?
I looked into three different newspaper who all wrote about Luis Suarez biting Chiellini.

- Sky Sports (UK)
Luis Suarez may be in trouble after appearing to bite Italy's Giorgio Chiellini.

-What this headline tells me is that they wrote about it quickly after it had happened. They wrote, "After appearing to bite" which means that they were not sure if Suarez bitt Chiellini or if he just ran in to him with his teeth first.

-They also have a picture of Suarez taken in the match; in the picture he is holding his teeth clearly in a lot of pain after he collided with Chiellini

- This article is very short, and I think it is because they published it even before the match was finished. They have no interviews, or reactions, just a few sentences about what happened.

- CNN Sports (USA)
Luis Suarez embroiled in new 'biting' storm.

     - in this article there is a video, in the video there is a guy talking about what happened in the match, there is also a interview with Suarez after the match where he talks about the incident.

     - "The only thing i know is that those are occurrences that happen on the pitch. I just collided with his shoulder. They are casual incidences that occur during a soccer game,"

Suarez said after match. He later on admitted that he had bitt Chiellini and not collided with him.

Chiellini
-"I'd love to see if they (UEFA) have the courage to use video evidence against him. The referee saw the bite mark too, but he did nothing about It."
Chiellini said after the match, clearly angry after what happened in the match.

-Sportsnet (Canada)

     - The first thing i noticed when i read the article was that they call football for ''soccer''.
     - They have interviews and reactions after the match, and information about the incident.
Picktures from the game.

Comparing the three different media, I think CNN and Sportsnet used most time on the article. Because they had interviews and reactions after the match as I said before sky sports probably published the article even before the match was finished witch is most likely the reason why it was a short article with only information about what happened.

The similarities between the articles must be that in all of them the writers doesn’t take Suarez side, it feels like because he has bitt someone before they are almost sure that he had done it again and not collided with Chiellini like he said after the match.
